About Sheila

Sheila Fleming, became Director of the Foothills Pregnancy Resource Center when it first opened in June 2004.  She spent most of her childhood in Phoenix, Arizona. After graduating from the University of Arizona, she and husband Mark moved to California. Their first child was born in 1985; their second in 1987. Sheila was a stay-at-home mom until 1997, when she went back to work as a substitute teacher. She has been very active in her children’s schools and has served on several boards; including the PTA. Sheila served on the original Steering Committee for the Pregnancy Resource Center for three years prior to the center’s opening in June 2003. Instead of returning to work in September 2003, she focused her time and energy into getting the Center up and running. As the Director, she believes strongly in what she is doing. She has a heart for the youth of today and the youth of tomorrow. She says, “There’s not a day I wake up and don’t want to do what I’m doing.” We are truly fortunate to have Sheila now as our Executive Director.
